TBCPR founder Melissa Rein Lively partners with the Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels to aid expansion efforts to make mental health treatment more accessible to families fighting childhood cancer in Arizona

For the last decade, TBCPR has been a fixture in Arizona’s non-profit world and the COVID-19 pandemic has strengthened our commitment to supporting important charities that make a difference in our community.

Our renewed focus on philanthropy includes partnerships with key Valley organizations that offer services focused on making mental health care accessible to those in crisis situations across the state.

This week, TBCPR celebrated the expansion of Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels Mobile Therapy program. The generosity of the community has made it possible for the organization to launch two new therapy busses offering home therapy to families facing childhood cancer.

“I am eternally grateful to have the opportunity to lead discussions on the topic of mental health and the immeasurable impact it has on families and the community,” said Melissa Rein Lively, Founder and CEO, The Brand Consortium Public Relations (TBCPR). This organization is doing amazing things in the community by ensuring families in crisis receive the immediate services they need and I am honored to support them,” she said.

Mental Health Matters: Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels Launches Mobile Therapy Program in Phoenix

It’s no secret that mental health has become a pandemic of its own as the COVID-19 crisis converged across the globe. For families fighting childhood cancer, mental health concerns add a layer of challenges to an already unthinkable situation that no family should have to face alone.

This week, Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels expanded it’s mobile therapy program bringing essential mental health services to families fighting childhood cancer directly to them. Two new fully-decked out buses are now capable of hosting hundreds of therapy sessions per week for children fighting cancer as well as the moms, dads, brothers, sisters and families working together to navigate a difficult diagnosis and even more difficult treatment and recovery.

This effort was made possible by generous community donors in partnership with legacy donations from the Fertitta Family and Brent and Christina Yates of Be The Lead. Offering a variety of therapy treatments including play therapy, music therapy and art therapy, Arizona families affected by cancer will gain access to critical mental health services in the safety and comfort of their own homes.

"Fighting childhood cancer takes an enormous toll on families when it comes to mental health," said Lorraine Tallman, Founder of Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels Foundation.

"Our in-house Comfort and Care team of licensed therapists provides free counseling, play therapy, and supportive services to Arizona families who have a child battling cancer, a blood disorder, or any other life-threatening illness," she said.

Services are provided to pediatric patients, their siblings, parents and caregivers. Individual, couples, and family counseling appointments are available, as well as support communities and educational sessions.

On Saturday, August 28th, the Amanda Hope Rainbow Foundation hosted a ribbon cutting and open house to celebrate the generous donations of the Fertitta family, the Yates family and Be The Lead as the new mobile therapy vans are put to use helping families heal around the Valley.

Nobu Scottsdale set for January 27th opening date

Nobu Scottsdale Logo.png

The wait is over. Nobu is here.

Nobu Matsuhisa is set to open his namesake restaurant in Scottsdale on January 27th. The internationally renowned Japanese restaurant opens its new 237 seat, 10,635 square-foot home as part of the Scottsdale Fashion Square luxury wing expansion.

"Scottsdale is a very special city, and a location we have been looking forward to opening for a very long time," said Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. “Scottsdale is a truly unique destination for a special kind of luxury and Fashion Square is at the center of it all," he said

Chef Nobu rose to fame in the early 1990's with his meticulous approach to sushi and the reinvention of Japanese cuisine. By coupling time-honored classic Japanese dishes with inventive new flavors and cooking techniques, Nobu has become an internationally acclaimed lifestyle brand with over forty restaurant and hotel locations spanning six continents.

A loyal following has made the restaurant a premier global destination for business, fashion, art, and entertainment clientele for nearly 30 years. Synonymous with exceptional quality and precise culinary distinction, Nobu aims to bring a unique kind of star-power to Scottsdale.

“Nobu is one of the most highly anticipated brands to enter the Arizona culinary scene,” said Michael Guerin, Senior Vice President, Leasing, Macerich. “The iconic Japanese restaurant will further define the luxury dining experience at Scottsdale Fashion Square, adding to a long list of exciting, high-end retail, food, and entertainment experiences this top property brings to the region.”

The first-ever Arizona outpost will serve signature dishes including Yellow tail Sashimi with jalapeño and Black Cod with miso alongside exclusive Scottsdale offerings. A mix of local ingredients will influence both the dining and bar menu. Cocktail connoisseurs will delight in Nobu's ever-evolving collection of original cocktails, curated by mixologists from around the globe.

"Each location has a unique menu that is influenced by global trends as well as the local scene," says Nobu. "We look forward to bringing guests the signature dishes they have come to love, along with new dishes exclusive to Nobu Scottsdale.

The restaurant's striking interiors were conceptualized and designed by Studio PCH, with vibrant colors and materials that celebrate Scottsdale's desert aesthetic. The Zen-like minimalist space offers an open, airy feel while bold design elements, earthy materials and luxe finishes provide striking contrast.

“Design is very important to us, and we are happy to be opening in a property that is so focused on creating a beautiful and welcoming environment. I believe good food, good service and beautiful design are what make customers feel part of something special,” Nobu said.

Reservations can be made by visiting www.noburestaurants.com/scottsdale/home/ or by calling 480-581-0055.

Row House bringing popular indoor rowing fitness concept to Scottsdale in December

SoulCycle-style boutique fitness brand created in NYC announces first location in Scottsdale’s Hilton Village

Popular indoor rowing fitness concept created in NYC announces first Valley location in Scottsdale

This year's hottest new fitness concept trades spin classes and circuit training for a set of oars. Row House is the hottest new high-energy, maximum efficiency, Soulcycle-style workout that's sweeping the nation, and the brand has set its sights on Arizona with three franchise locations planned over the next year. The first Arizona location will open in Hilt0n Village in Scottsdale, bringing the hippest new fitness brand to Valley fitness obsessives of all ages, identities and abilities.

"Row House is one of the hottest workouts in the country right now because of how efficiently rowing works the entire body," said Kim Gavin, Arizona franchise owner for Row House. "It's a fun, intense, high-energy workout with an amazing team-approach that people of all ages and fitness level, strength levels and abilities love," she said. "It's a uniquely powerful workout that gets the adrenaline pumping like none other while torching calories, building strength, confidence and boosting heart health," Gavin said.

With smooth strokes in fluid motion, group fitness class participants move together like teammates on a boat, rowing on individual machines with power at a cadence guided by an enthusiastic instructor.

“The rowing machine is the most efficient piece of fitness equipment,” Gavin said. “It works 85 percent of your muscle groups, with low impact and high intensity.”

Row House is Arizona's first gym dedicated entirely to indoor rowing. Rowing is a rapidly growing fitness trend around the country, and fans of the workout have called it the new "spin."

"Like Soulcycle, Row House is very much a lifestyle brand," Gavin said. "At Row House, members become part of a culture that goes far beyond your typical workout class," she said. "Fans of the workout have called it "addictive in the best way," which Gavin chalks up to rowing's powerful ability to challenge 85 percent of the body in every workout.

"There's just something about feeling better, faster and stronger with every class that keeps people coming back," she said.

Rowhouse is part of the dynamic group of fitness concepts under the California-based Xponential Fitness umbrella that includes Club Pilates, Cyclebar and Yoga Six, which recently announced its first Valley location in Scottsdale last month.

The Row House concept was established in 2014 by a husband-and-wife duo in New York City who sought a format that people of all ages and abilities could do together.

Classes at RowHouse are exactly 45 minutes long and vary by type. Some formats keep rowers on the machine for nearly 90 percent of the class, while other formats incorporate work off the rower. The “Body” class uses dumbbells for a sculpting and toning portion, while the “Power” class incorporates high-energy bursts of interval training to challenge the aerobic threshold. The “Restore” class offers portions of dynamic stretching in between rowing.

Prices range from $29 for a single class to $179 per month for unlimited visits. In celebration of the brand's Arizona debut, Row House has launched a Founding Members program offering exclusive pricing to the first 100 members of the Hilton Village location.

Row House Hilton Village is anticipated to open in early December. To learn more about Row House or apply to become a Founding Member visit www.rowhousehiltonvillage.com.
